Poop, Paxil, and Pageantry

I have been very blessed in my life to have such a wonderful family and to have such wonderful people join my family. My sister-in-law Karen is one of those special people. She loves my children to pieces. When she gets to see them she gives them so much of herself. I do not think I will ever really express how kind and loving Karen's heart is. I am so lucky she joined our family.

This is Ethan. I think the hat says it all. He is just about as sweet as the lolly he is enjoying.He turned one on January the 11th, 2oo5.

Today is my niece Natalie's birthday. It is so hard being away from Texas beacuase I miss such important things. My niece Natalie was some what an only child for so long and now that her mom has had a new baby (Congrats!) she needs some extra special attention on these great occasions. I am sorry I can not be there but she is definently in my thoughts. Happy Birthday Beautiful!!!

We are waiting very patiently to find out if Clint is getting promoted to specialist. His boss has already said she would get him a waiver. A guy got promoted today, so maybe tomorrow. We are really excited. We have started paying on Clint's student loans and let me tell you....things are even tighter. I didn't think that was possible. Lucky for us I am really good at making a dollar stretch. My way of saying I am cheap. Come on Promotion!!!!!!

I had never watched this show until the season with the "little person". That immediately caught my attention. I have watched The Amazing Race faithfully since then. Last night was the two-hour season premiere. There are two very interesting teams this time. One is a former POW with his girlfriend and the other....Rob and Amanda from survivor!!! Awesome. Everyone is pissed though. They all keep making comments about how they do not deserve to be there because they have already won. I think it is great that they are there. They do not have any kids. They have already won money to pay those pesky bills, why not see the world while they have the chance. I would. I hope they win, just to piss everyone else off. They could be reality TV junkies and go on every show. Next....American Idol? HA HA HA

Ethan had his one year check up today. Let me just say that he is not a big fan of the FIVE SHOTS he got in the legs today. The doctor said his hydroseal (big balls) is a lot better and together we decided to wait until his 18 month checkup to decide about seeing a surgeon. I just do not want to put him through a major procedure if the fluid absorbs in the next six months. She said he is well above average in his gross and fine motor skills. Unlike the little geniuses he is right on target as far as verbal skills. I guess I will have to pull out the flash cards!!! I figure if they are all really really smart then they might be big nerds and never ever have sex. That whole thing really scares me. I would like to home school them until they are 40. Well, not really but I just want them to enjoy being a kid for as long as I deem normal.

So, I have just turned 31 and I have decided to quit smoking. I figure I don't want to have prune lips in five years and I definently don't want my teeth to look like kernels of corn. Today is only day two and believe it or not, so far so good. I think the fact that I am drinking a crap load of water is really helping. The real test will be when I drink a beer. Oh Boy!!!
